I don't have to say tons about the reputation of American Express. I have never heard any major complaints other than "the fee" and the "have to pay it ALL , no rotating balances" in the past. Both of those options and they are OPTIONS can be eliminated these days! You can be a card carrying AMERICAN EXPRESS holder without those 2 "drawbacks" if you get the right card!
