DINNER IN A POUCH

Ragu is a Great Company. I have used Ragu for as long as I can remember to put together a "quick" & delicious dinner. I have used it by itself with pasta and I have added ingredients to it to make a number of meals. It has always come in a JAR and now it also comes in a pouch!

I have 6 people in the house and sometimes I have to be very creative on what to fix for dinner a meal that everyone will eat at least part of, is economical, nutritious and tastes good too! I am sure many of you run into the same problem.

Ragu new FRESH & SIMPLE POUCHES are great!
They are using all-natural ingredients, plus Vitamin C, calcium, fiber and protein, putting them in a pouch so all you have to do is put in the microwave (upright) heat and serve!

I used both pouches to feed my family + a guest! I put out a variety of cooked ahead ingredients in bowls (onions, peppers, mushrooms, meatballs cheeses etc), cooked a big pot of NOODLES (I used no yolk noodles free after doubling 50c coupon at kroger) and heated a loaf of Italian bread.
It was kind of like an assembly line.

The sauce was quick and simple! You should have seen the kids faces when I had a BAG of sauce rather than a POT of sauce to ladle from! I have never used the microwave to cook sauce before so I was unsure if this was going to taste like "microwaved" sauce or not. Nope, it rivaled any other spaghetti that I have ever made and because my ingredients were not cooked into the sauce as usual, there was no "picking out" and "throwing away" perfectly good food!

This was SOOOOOOOOOO easy and everyone was happy, healthy and had exactly what they wanted to eat!. The entire process took about 15-20 minutes using the microwave for everything but the noodles! I did this on AMERICAN IDOL NIGHT so I could actually sit down and enjoy the show............ Everything went smoothly!

OK how does it compare in cost? At Kroger the pouch is $2.59 in my area while the Jar is $1.59. Why would you pay an extra dollar for this? You don't have to! Load the $1 coupon HERE on to your Kroger card and this cost exactly the same! Be watching the newspaper too, Ragu is good about offering sales and coupons. NO KROGER?
